ELC 2nd Annual Poetry Contest
May 18, 2019
The 2nd Annual Poetry Competition is an event where kids of all ages are able to recite poetry of their choice to present to a live audience. Not only does this challenge the student, it also promotes Chinese culture with a competitive twist. Even though one student may have gotten the trophy, we still consider every participant a winner.

E Club Easter Celebration
April 20, 2019
On April 20, 2019, E Club hosted our second annual Easter Egg Hunt! The event was located at Heritage Park from 12-3 pm, with fun events for children of all ages. We had several egg hunts, bobbing for donuts, balloon animals, a live DJ, and so much more. Our volunteers set up a stand to sell refreshments, including boba tea and hot dogs. During this event, attendees were encouraged to donate clothing items, which were all donated to the Foothill Family Shelter. Overall, the event welcomed many families from our community to celebrate together.

On March 30, 2019, more than 25 students volunteered at the Hope Center Community Health Fair. Volunteers, who wore yellow vests, not only had the opportunity to assist upon the setup and clean up of booths for the event, but also had the chance to experience the events that were being conducted, network with those participating, and help out at the clinical services provided at the health fair.

ELC Chinese Spring Festival Gala 2019
February 16, 2019
This annual celebration hosted by Enlightened Learning Club promotes Chinese culture in the community. Our volunteers directed the event carefully, from making props to set up to performance flow. E Club was able to fundraise at this event by selling homemade treats to attendees. Volunteers were very happy that their long hours of effort resulted in a successful event.

Hope Center Chinese American Spring Festival
March 4, 2019
It was a huge celebration for the Spring Festival. There were many E Club members who came to help out that day. Everyone worked really hard. On the stage, our dance team did a great performance. Also, at the end of the show, we did a sign language performance. Overall, this was a great experience for all E Club members.

1st Annual ELC Spring Festival Celebration
February 19, 2018
Our first annual spring festival celebration was held at the Goldy Lewis Community Center in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Fantastic entertainment was provided in the form of performances by local students and artists, including dancing, singing, and other talents of our diverse array of members in E Club. Delicious refreshments were prepared by our diligent members and parents and were available in this event. We had a total of about 35 student volunteers helping with various parts of this event, with our officer team ensuring that the entire event ran smoothly.

Christmas Performances at Nursing Homes
December 2017
The E Club bamboo dance team went to four different nursing homes to perform for the grandmas and grandpas there, and many of them liked it very much. It was Christmas themed so the bamboos were wrapped with decorative Christmas wrapping papers and the team members were wearing holiday-themed attire. The team also went into the crowd and asked them they were feeling, while providing snacks to them too. This was a fun experience for the E Club bamboo dancing team.
